CirclesMod is a UI modification for various ROMs on various devices.
Background
My parents tell me I was the kind of kid who would take everything apart and put it together again, or hook a model train power transformer up to a mini race car track and send the cars flying off the balcony. Being a former web designer, I couldn't keep my hands off and I thought it'd be fun to create my own set of status icons, or whatever you'd call them. I wound up with something circular, simple and consistent..
Update policy
I'm not really monitoring any other ROMs than the one I'm currently using, but I do take requests. Ask nicely and I'll probably make what you need, if I can

Updates
1. January 2011 I've discontinued all development for MIUI for the time being. Until MIUI allows external monitoring and logging of what's going on under the hood, I don't think it's something anyone should install on their phones... EDIT: Per request I've elaborated on that here.
26. december 2010 Everything's been Oxygen and Gingerbread. I've redone all my icons with gradients and glow to accommodate the generally updated UI of Android 2.3. I've also added the connected/fully connected logic layer to everything. Interesting times.
What you get
- WiFi signal. Four segments that turn on / off.
- Phone signal. Same idea as Wifi.
- Mobile data. Icons for connected / in / out / in+out.
- Vibrate / silent
- Battery indicator with percentages.
- Bluetooth icon for active / connected. (e.g. to the handsfree in my car)
- New emoticons. (Conservative = you can actually see their facial expressions, w00t??)
All icon sets
What about the other icons...?
The icons that I haven't themed will vary for individual releases. As far as at all possible I use the base framework for that particular ROM. To clarify: When doing CirclesMod_oxygen_20-signed, I use the framework-res.apk from Oxygen 2.0 final, adding only my icons and modifications. If the icons etc of a particlar ROM are wildly inconsistent with my own design considerations, I'll probably use some simple unicolor icons provided by the UOT. It is not set in stone but that is my basic philosophy on the subject.

Feel free to request stuff, but search this thread before asking. If you're wondering if there's a version for the latest Oxygen build, you might search this thread for "Oxygen" and look at the newest posts
Warnings and Disclaimers
I shouldn't have to state this explicitly, but better safe than sorry. You do this at your own risk! I have been flashing hundreds of different versions of my mods on my own devices without issues, but yes! Whenever you are changing settings and functionality on a level that requires you to reboot into recovery, you are running a non-zero risk of screwing something up. I accept no responsibility for any damage to your device. We clear? Great. Proceed at your own discretion.
Prerequisites
Your must be rooted and have a custom recovery image installed. I use AmonRA myself but it works fine with ClockWorkMod too (3.x+ recommended). If you don't know what this means, you should do a bit of reading first. Any information that you could possibly need on the subject is available in the Desire Android Development forum, or the corresponding forum for your device.
Having said that: Instructions
1. Do a nandroid backup of your current situation.
2. Download the zip that fits your ROM, and save it on your SD card.
3. Reboot into recovery and flash it (and reboot, of course)

Donations policy
Life has been good to me, and I can't say in good conscience that I need anything. If you like this mod, and appreciate the effort I put into it, I'd appreciate it if you would leave some spare change with one of my favorite charities instead.
Save the Children gives emergency relief, education and protection in areas affected by war and conflict. Save the Children also combats child labour, poverty, HIV/aids, sexual abuse and trafficking. Donations here.
UNICEF is another organization that helps children by fighting against malnutrition, disease, violence, exploitation and abuse including the worst forms of child labor; during armed conflict; and harmful practices such as female genital mutilation/cutting and child marriage. Donations here...
If you can't get behind these causes for whatever reason, You could always donate to me. I'll put your donation to good use - anything donated to me will be invested directly in Android development. Better hardware, software, litterature, different phones etc. Won't help a single child anywhere, promise
